2006 Taipei Tea Culture Expo. Raw Tea Cake - Conscientious Blend Recipe

Often the best memories are ones that are not planned and today one of the more remarkable sessions was just random. It wasn't one of those 'highly remarked' or 'super expensive' puerhs but one just randomly coming across.
So I'm making cookies on Discord while drinking the 2006 Taipei Tea Culture Expo; Conscientious Blend Recipe via Changtai. Multiple names attached to it, but as I smell the aroma on the dry cake it's perplexing how old and similar to luibao this was coming off. Anyways, the blend is Gelanghe, Nannuoshan, and Mengsong. Serious recipe right?
I'm all for it. So again, making cookies, I start this up and from the rinse I knew right away this was something different. Immediately the concept of 'betal nut' comes to mine which is nonsense. This is a raw puerh! Anyways, as the session goes on there's muddled aged smoke and notes of 80s/90s dark teas that just blows my mind. The leaf goes on for a bit longer than usual for me which is nice. My thoeries on this has to do with storage but it doesn't totally align. Anyways, the decision was made that I had to try this again the same day. Fast forward after eating two meals and moving around I went ahead and took 6g with the same gaiwan and started a new session. Confirming that this tea is liquid bliss in a way that reminds me of 'drugs' that remove stress. Sensation of time is distorted. Mind is clear. Couldn't be any more content.
Spectacularly and yet extremely odd of a session.
Thankfully it's one that I'm bringing to you all next week.
Looking forward to those with flavor knowledge beyond mine to disagree with me as much as I am looking forward to those going on the same journey that I did!
