2022 Huayanhao

My notes:
Strong aroma, like the tea was sleeping... waking up a grumpy beast. Extreme mouthfeel from the start with almost a tingling sensation to the tip of the tongue and a wave of flavor across the board. Starting out, the first few steeps are captivating in high levels. Very strong after taste and feeling; it reminds me of how steeped rose stays with you after a sip, but it's not light and floral, its dark tasting for such a young tea with depth that comes across like a heated floral attribute that I may not have the words to describe. The throat hit on this is one that makes you take a moment and appreciate just how great this is and the regret one will have potentially not trying it down the road. What a wonderful session going in blind, after reading BFZC remarks of floral notes followed by layers that include heavy honey notes I am relieved that my thoughts were not fully off from what was being tasted as I brewed this.
